The culture of wild pear was known since the ancient times, at least three thousand years before Christ. Wild pear is considered to be one of most aristocratic fruits. The shape of the pear is compound and fine. Even the poets were inspired by its shape. Unique essential oils straighten the body defense abilities. Wild pears were used for medical aims by Sumerian physicians.
Wild pear grows on slopes of magnificent mountains, in pristine forests of Artsakh. The fruits are small, round-shaped and are very juicy and flavorful. Wild pear trees grow separately, coming into the world from a seed dropped in by the wind or a bird, that’s why usually wild pear tree is called a "loner”.
